Archive messages with a single click. You can archive messages in any of the email accounts that you've connected to Outlook 2016 for Mac. These include Exchange (version 2016 and later), Office 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, iCloud, Google, and Yahoo! Choose one or more messages in your folder to archive. You can also manually back up and archive items, in addition to AutoArchive or as a replacement. Manual archiving provides flexibility, and allows you to specify exactly which folders are included in the archive, and which archive Outlook Data File (.pst) is used. To manually archive Outlook items, do the following: Click the File tab.
Cancel or turn off auto archive in Outlook 2007
In Outlook 2007, you can turn off the auto archive function as follows.
1. Please click Tools > Options. See screenshot:
2. Click the AutoArchive button under Other tab in the Options dialog box.
3. In the AutoArchive dialog box, uncheck the Run AutoArchive every X days box, and then click OK button to close the dialog.
4. When it returns to the Options dialog box, click OK button. From now on, your Archive function is disabled in your Outlook.

2. In the Outlook Options dialog box, please click Advanced in the left pane, and then click AutoArchive Settings button. See screenshot:
3. In the AutoArchive dialog box, please uncheck the Run AutoArchive every X days box. And then click OK button to close it.
4. When it returns to the Outlook Options dialog box, please click OK button.
Now the Auto archive function is turned off.

Outlook 2016 for Mac includes a new feature called one-click archiving. This feature allows you to quickly move an item from your Inbox or another folder to an archive folder. An archived item (or items) remains accessible, but doesn't clutter your Inbox.
Archive messages with a single click
You can archive messages in any of the email accounts that you've connected to Outlook 2016 for Mac. These include Exchange (version 2016 and later), Office 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, iCloud, Google, and Yahoo!
- Choose one or more messages in your folder to archive.
- On the ribbon, choose Archive.
- As soon as you choose Archive, messages are immediately moved to the archive folder you've specified. If you archive a message by mistake, go to the archive folder and move the message back to your Inbox.
First time using the archive?
If you haven't previously set up an archive folder for an email account, you'll get this prompt:

Choose one of the following:
- Continue. A new folder will appear in your folder list for that email account. You'll have to repeat this process to create an archive folder for each of your email accounts. The folder will be called Archive for Office 365, Outlook.com, Hotmail, iCloud, Google, and Yahoo! accounts. The archive folder for Gmail is called All Mail.
- Choose another folder. Select any of your existing folders for the archive.
